~Unprofitable’s are banished to work camps to pay off their credit. Other tie-men and women look on apathetically. Fair is fair. Everyone knows you shouldn’t use more credit than you are worth to the Company. They turn their attention to the next repackaged but highly coveted N-Corp product on the market, creatively advertised on the imager screens that adorn virtually every available flat surface. All the while, their mandatory cross-implants and wrist-worn “ICs” keep them focused on the endless cycle of work and consumption to which they are enslaved.~…

A misunderstood boy who can speak with the dead, takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse.
Lake County Library System is honored to present nationally best-selling author Tim Dorsey, on Friday, June 29th at 2 p.m. in the Lady Lake Public Library and again at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 30th in the Leesburg Public Library. Tim will be greeting readers and speaking about finding inspiration in Florida and his new book, Pineapple Grenade. “Fans of Dorsey’s slapstick-comedy style will find plenty to like. Dorsey again proves he’s some sort of mad master with a concoction that features zany physical comedy, dark humor, social commentary, and Florida history.” — Tampa Tribune
Gloriously unrepentant Florida serial killer Serge Storms is back—and he’s finagled his way into becoming a secret agent in Miami—in another outrageous crime comedy from New York Times bestselling author, Tim Dorsey. In Pineapple Grenade, the incomparable Serge takes up spying for the president of a banana republic, and now Homeland Security wants to bring him down. It’s always a wild ride when Dorsey’s at the wheel, and with Pineapple Grenade he delivers his most explosively hilarious road trip to date.
Tim Dorsey was a police and courts reporter for The Alabama Journal, the now-defunct evening newspaper in Montgomery. He joined The Tampa Tribune as a general assignment reporter and also worked as a political reporter in the Tribune’s Tallahassee bureau. From 1994 to 1999, he was the Tribune’s night metro editor. He left the paper in August 1999 to write full time.
Tim has since published fifteen novels in several languages: Florida Roadkill, Hammerhead Ranch Motel, Orange Crush, Triggerfish Twist, The Stingray Shuffle, Cadillac Beach, Torpedo Juice, The Big Bamboo, Hurricane Punch, Atomic Lobster, Nuclear Jellyfish, Gator A-Go-Go, Electric Barracuda, When Elves Attack and Pineapple Grenade. Don’t miss these chances, Serge with be looking for you!
